Young Sita Supports Her Family

Sita Kumari Mandal from Nocha VDC of Morang was born with physical impairment in an economically poor family, Her Father carried her everyday to school and she passed SLC but when her father himself faced physical impairment due to diabetes, the whole family suffered. 21 years old sita was determined to support her family. She undertook basic sewing and tailoring training from the support of a Disable People's Organization, but due to lack of financial recourses, she was unable to open her won shop. Then Sita came in contact with Community Based Rehabilitation Center Biratnagar through the CDW. Sita was supported to receive a tri-cycle from rehab center and also was encouraged to start her own shop near her home and become self-employed. Sewabati is 35 years old with Post Polio Residual Paralysis(PPRP), living in Banigama village morang, She was independent in her activities of daily living but she was unable to stand, walk and travel for long distance before she receiving rehabilitation service and mobility aids from Community Based Rehabilitation (CBRB). Sewati was identified by inclusion team during coordination meeting of 24th may 2017.
